This past week we held the annual Caio Terra Association Camp! With affiliates from all over the world, some coming as far as Bulgaria and Suriname, it was a week of laughs, camaraderie and of course Jiu Jitsu.
In addition to all the night classes being taught by Professor himself, this year we invited several guest instructors. The first instructor was none other than Black Belt phenom Rudson Telles. Rudson went over his amazing closed guard material and concluded the class with some training. Rudson also taught the Thursday night class, going over more closed guard material.
On Tuesdays night, 3 time world champion Mikey Musumeci went over guard retention concepts and omoplata from Collar Sleeve. The class was outstanding and everyone who attended had a great time. Later that night the entire camp went out to dinner at Galpao Gaucho and it truly was a night to remember.
Wednesday night Professor taught class followed by promotions. A special congratulations goes out to AJ Gatuz and Ranulfo “Gonzo” Gonzalez on receiving their well earned black belts. Both of these two guys exemplify what CTA is all about and I can’t think of two more deserving people. Dinner that night was Pizza and Chick fila (Thanks Arnold!).
On Friday the camp concluded and everyone was a little tired, a little sore, but overly excited to head home to share the techniques and stories from camp. Thank you to everyone who attended, CTA would be nothing with out all of you and I am privileged and honored to consider you all friends!
