After two years the IBJJF made its return to the bay area for the 2022 Santa Cruz International open. It was great to see people come out, compete, and support our amazing Jiu Jitsu community.
In the gi division, everyone went out and represented well. At the end of the day, CTA ended up in first place. There were many outstanding performances and it truly was a team effort that made it happen!
In the No Gi division our top athletes did not compete because they were preparing for ADCC. In the end, it made little difference as we won first place as well by a decent margin.
Jiu Jitsu is often seen as an individual sport but no one can do this alone. Huge thank you to all our students, athletes and training partners for making CTA what it is! Excited for the future and can't wait to see what's next!
