Last weekend was the 2023 IBJJF American Nationals in Las Vegas! American National is a gi and no-gi tournament and unofficially kicks off the no-gi season.
From HQ, Phoebe Lowell, Aline Monteiro, Dean Sherrell, Jazy, Richard & Abagail Vega, Matt Guffey, Ed Hohl, Rafael Duarte, Vitor Paschoal, Gabriel Marangoni, and Thamara Ferreira made the trip down to compete.
At the end of the day, every one of the lower belts made the podium, with Jazzy, Richard, and Dino taking gold in their respective divisions! Vitor, Gabriel, and Thamara did amazingly at the black belt level, and all were crowned champions! Great start to the No Gi season and the conclusion of the gi season and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
