At its core, Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport and always has a risk of injury. Luckily, this risk of injury is very low when training since our instructors are always watching to make sure no-one is unintentionally harmed while practicing.
When drilling and live training with our teammates we let go of submissions as soon as someone taps and even before they submit in situations with newer students who may not realize the risk of injury. This respect and trust allows us to improve our skills in a safe environment and enables our community to grow and thrive.
