After a long and fun filled 2 days the 2013 Gracie Worlds has come to a close. Once again Rose Gracie put on an outstanding event and all the participants and fans had an amazing time! Every one from the Institute of Martial Art put on an amazing display of technique. Tiano Meier, one of the youngest competitors in the event at 3 years old, went out and did amazing. His older brother Matteo did equally as well competing in the no gi division!
Some people dream of success while others wake up and achieve it. Kaniela Kahuanui, who came off a very disappointing performance at the mundials, never stopped working hard and was in the gym the very next day. Well this weekend his hard work paid off and he went out and won his division as well as the absolute!! He was also just promoted to purple belt so it makes this win that much more special!
In the MMA part of the expo, Institute of martial arts went 2-0! Huge congrats to Bradyn Le-Lewis and Elias Aleberti on their hard earned victories, no one likes training hard, dieting and sacrifice, and these two went out, did what they had to and got it done. CONGRATS!!
Huge thanks to Flavio Meier, Aaron Zaballos and Allen Stevens for coaching and getting the guys ready, big things are in store!!
