This past Monday was a very special day at the academy. I had the privilege of promoting 5 black belts. The first two (Erick and Mathieu) started at the academy over nine years ago, trained consistently, gave back to the community and above all else trusted the process. They are the first two people who started with us as white belts and are now black belts!
The second two (Eric and Andrew) worked exceptionally hard and are truly students of jiu jitsu. The last person (Jaime Jr) to get promoted started as a teen and it's been truly amazing to watch him grow into a man! He is now the head instructor at CTA Woodland and had one of the highest scores on the test. Lastly we recognized Mason, who was promoted at worlds.
Congrats to everyone who was promoted, keep training, keep evolving and always take time to enjoy the journey!
