2012 was an amazing year, 2013 looks to be even better! I am currently ranked number 1 by the IBJJ for no gi, and our gym, the Institute of Martial Arts is doing very well. We have a growing student base and a lot of very talented people who are looking to have a break out year in 2013. With that said the thing that I’m most proud of is that the quality of our students and the culture of the gym, thanks to Flavio Meier and Queixinho. Lets keep it going!
Our association is also looking to have banner year in 2013. We are limiting new memberships to 20 so that we can continue to build avery solid foundation and focus on the schools who are already a part of it. The association is something that I have spent a lot of time and effort on because I believe in it. Jiu Jitsu changes lives and our association gives me the opportunity to spread my Jiu Jitsu and philosophies while helping others! Look for big announcements in 2013 as our association does big things on the international and national levels!!
Being busy is a both a blessing and a curse as I don’t have as much time as I would like to devote to training. With all the seminars, teaching and family obligations it is very hard to accomplish everything. With that said I am fortunate to have a lot of very talented training partners and friends and am proud to announce we will be doing Pan Am and Mundial camps this year. Although physically hard, training with the caliber of talent that comes to these camps can be life changing and every one from white to black belt can benefit! I personally rely on these camps to help prepare me and the quality of training here is hard to find any where in the world.
Speaking of seminars I am schedule to be a part of the Brasa camp in Cancun, and will be conducting a month of seminars in Asia. If any one is interested please let me know, I am pretty busy so please contact me several months in advance so that we can coordinate something.
Thanks and can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store!
